Having recently made aliyah with my husband Andy, and our daughter Tova (our son,who has not made aliyah, is currently learning in yeshiva in Jerusalem), this blog is my attempt to keep in contact with friends and family. Although there is a lot to say about the process of making aliyah, the move itself, and our day-to-day life so far, this blog is mostly not about that. Instead, I would like to focus on the thoughts, inspiration, and experiences that are my own and give meaning to my life in the Holy Land.
Since we have already been here for a little while, many of my posts, at least initially, will be retrospective. I invite you to comment so that we can stay in touch. If you would like to contact me privately, please send me a message via Facebook. And, if you would like to share my posts with your friends and family, please do.
A great deal of gratitude and appreciation goes to my mother, and to my sister and brother-in-law, Robbie and Howard, for encouraging our aliyah and for being proactive and instrumental in making it a reality.
I would also like to thank Andy for waiting 21 years for me to make good on my pre-engagement promise to give aliyah a try.
